PTT Plc’s gas supplier in Myanmar’s Yetagun offshore gas field has put in a request for a reduction in the daily contract quantity of natural gas supplied to PTT in Thailand, due to continuing lower output, reports The Nation on February 12.

A 55-year-old Japanese-built hydropower plant in the hills of Kayah State that supplies a 10th of Myanmar’s electricity is getting new turbines and generators under a Japanese-sponsored rehabilitation project, according to the Global New Light of Myanmar on February 10.

Shell and its Japanese partner Mitsui Oil Exploration Company or MOECO have just signed exploration and production sharing contracts with Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise of Myanmar for three deep-water blocks.
