16 Aug Air Supply performs in Myanmar to support children

Australian soft-rock band Air Supply performed in Yangon at the Myanmar Convention Center (MCC) in Mayangone Township. The event was organized to raise education funds for the school children in remote Chin and Kachin area. Iron Cross, one of the most popular Myanmar bands, opened the concert.

“Air Supply is performing. We are here to support them” said Iron Cross lead singer Myo Gyi.

The organizer Ko Nyi Nyi said that the ticket for the concert were MMK50000, MMK30000 and MMK20000. The proceeds of the concert will be donated to education of children.

He said, “Through this concert, Myanmar fans will get a chance to enjoy an international band live on stage. Moreover, the money received will be used for children living in Chin and Kachin state who could not attend school.”

Guitarist Graham Russell and lead vocalist Russell Hitchcock entertained Myanmar fans some of their most popular songs.

The Air Supply concert was organized by Bagan Entertainment.
