KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) - Nine Myanmar nationals have been charged with murder in Malaysia over the gruesome killings of six of their countrymen, a media report said January 15.
Malaysian police claim they have smashed a human-trafficking syndicate following the rescue of 17 Myanmar nationals who were found locked in a house in Kulim, in the northern Malaysian state of Kedah on Tuesday, according to a report by The Malaysian Insider January 14.

Police in Penang, Malaysia are hunting for four more Myanmar nationals in relation to the series of brutal murder cases involving their countrymen in the last quarter of 2014, according to a report in The Star Online January 12.
Two Myanmar nationals wanted by the Malaysian police to assist in the investigation into the murder of several fellow nationals on Malaysia’s Penang island are believed to have fled the state, according to The Star on December 17.
